1. Why ‘Eleventh House’?

We love a story and here’s where the inspiration for the name "Eleventh House" comes from:

  • The street address of our original office was #11

  • In some traditions, the eleventh house is the house of community, humanitarian interests, and friends. “ The Eleventh House aka The House of Friendships. This house focuses on group dynamics such as clubs, organizations, social groups & networking/professional connections. Hopes, dreams, destiny, callings, and opportunities can be found here as well. 2. How is compensation arranged?

Each contractor sets their own hourly rate, and this is settled during the initial interview and onboarding phase. Furthermore, as a contractor-run organization, contractors can also qualify for payouts from the organization’s profits as part of our pooled resources plan.

3. How many hours would I work per week?

Our team members have plenty of flexibility in defining their hourly work arrangements. Most of our contractors work part-time with a set number of hours per week. However, hourly arrangements are customized for each team member based on the projects they’re working on and their preferences on what fits their lifestyle.

4. Is this a fully remote position?

Our business model is designed so that our contractors have the ability to work 100% remotely in their location of choice. This arrangement serves our team members by providing them with flexibility while enabling us to hire just the right personnel without limitations on location. Our only requirement? That you have access to wi-fi!

5. How does working for a teal organization differ from a traditional organization?

A TEAL organization is a decentralized business model that promotes both autonomy and collaboration. Expect less micro-management, top-down directives, and fixed roles. Expect more team decision-making, ownership over your tasks, and room to innovate. As such, this model is usually the best fit for people who are motivated self-starters, well-disciplined, and are comfortable with technology and working outside of the traditional office environment. However, we understand that everyone flourishes in different work environments, so we encourage you to read more about this model to see if this would be a good fit for you!
